Better Late than Never

Since we got married I've been saying that I'm going to get this blog started and since we're coming up on our 9 month anniversary I think it's time to finally get down to it.

Jacob and I met on the first day of class in fall semester 2013.  We had a chemistry class together and he came and sat by me, and the rest is history.  Not quite actually... we sat together every single day and I thought he was so cute and wanted him to ask me out but he thought I wasn't interested so it took him a little while to finally get to it. We started dating towards the end of the semester and once that was done and I graduated we both moved to Nampa where we continued to date.

One day he suggested we go to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner because I had been begging to go there since we moved back to Nampa.  We showed up only to find out that it was closed, and had been for a few months.  Jacob looked a little panicked but I told him it was fine and we went to another restaurant.  After dinner, he asked if I'd like to go on a walk through the park.  During our walk we came to a big bridge over the Boise river and stopped to take in the scenery.  Then the bridge lit up with lights and he handed me a present.  It was a music box with the Rome temple on front.  He told me he had bought it on his mission planning on giving it to his future wife when the time came.  I opened it and found a ring box inside.  He then got down on one knee and proposed.
We then sat at a little table he had set up and had chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider, you could say he knows me really well.
We also owe a HUGE thanks to Kara and Landon for helping with all the set-up. I'm sure it would've been impossible without your guys' help.

Then came all the wedding preparations which Jacob absolutely LOVED! Well, he was at least a good sport about it.  I think his favorite were the engagement pictures...

Another big thanks to Kara for taking such great pictures and spending all that time editing and getting things ready for us.

August 1, 2014 we were sealed in the Boise, Idaho temple.

The kiddos thought it was a little too hot to be out taking pictures.

Then we were off on the honeymoon.  We stayed in a little town off the Oregon coast and had a blast.  We hung out on the beach, explored the town visited lighthouses and sea lion caves, did some seashell hunting, and best of all went to a zoo safari where we got to pet and play with all the animals including baby bears, lions, and tigers.
